The Sheep's bit scabious (Jasione laevis) is an upright, runner-forming perennial that produces blue, ball-shaped flowers from June to August. Its lanceolate leaves are green. In a sunny location with well-drained, lime-free, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 40 cm and is approx. 30 cm wide. The Sheep's bit scabious is well tolerant of frost.
