The Durand's clematis 'Praecox' (Clematis x jouiniana) is a climbing, carpet-like perennial that produces light blue, star-shaped flowers arranged in panicles from July to August. Its pinnate leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, loose soil, it usually reaches a height of around 2 metres and grows to around 1 metre wide. The Durand's clematis 'Praecox' is well tolerant of frost.
