The Bishop's hat 'Sulphureum' (Epimedium x versicolor) is a broad, rhizome-forming, winter-green perennial that produces pale yellow flowers arranged in clusters from April to May. Its heart-shaped leaves are dark green. In a semi-shady to shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, lime-free soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 30 cm and grows to a width of approx. 30 cm. The Bishop's hat 'Sulphureum' is well tolerant of frost.
