The Cotton lavender (Santolina chamaecyparissus) is a bushy, dense, winter-green perennial that forms yellow, ball-shaped flowers from July to August. Its feathery, hairy leaves are silver-grey. In a sunny location with well-drained, lime-free, loose soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 50 cm and is approx. 40 cm wide.
