The Newman's coneflower (Rudbeckia fulgida var. speciosa) is a bushy, runner-forming perennial that produces golden yellow, basket-shaped flowers from August to October. Its hairy, egg-shaped leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny location with well-drained, loose soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 70 cm and is approx. 50 cm wide. The Newman's coneflower is well tolerant of frost.
