The Dyer's chamomile 'Kelwayi' (Anthemis tinctoria) is a clump-forming perennial that produces lemon-yellow, basket-shaped flowers with a pleasant fragrance from June to September. Its pinnate leaves are grey-green. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, loose, sandy soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 50 cm and is approx. 40 cm wide. The Dyer's chamomile 'Kelwayi' is well tolerant of frost.

The deciduous leaves of the Dyer's chamomile 'Kelwayi' are grey-green, pinnate.

Flower

Anthemis tinctoria 'Kelwayi' forms basket-shaped, lemon-yellow flowers from June. These exude a pleasant fragrance.

Location

Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.

Frost hardiness

The Dyer's chamomile 'Kelwayi' has good frost hardiness.

Cut, bee pasture, natural garden, scented garden

Water

Water regularly and allow the soil to dry out in the meantime.

Care

- If watered less frequently but thoroughly and penetratingly, the plant roots are encouraged to penetrate into deeper soil layers. This helps the plant to survive periods of drought.
- If the plants are cut back after flowering, they will sprout again and flower once more.
