The Balm-leaved red deadnettle (Lamium orvala) is an upright, clump-forming perennial that produces dark red, ray-shaped flowers with a pleasant fragrance from May to June. Its egg-shaped, toothed leaves are dark green. In a semi-shady to shady location with well-drained soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 60 cm and is approx. 40 cm wide. The Balm-leaved red deadnettle is well tolerant of frost.

The deciduous leaves of the Balm-leaved red deadnettle are dark green, ovate, toothed.

Flower

Lamium orvala forms rake-shaped, dark red flowers from May. These exude a pleasant fragrance.
