The Perforate St John's wort (Hypericum perforatum) is an upright perennial that produces yellow, star-shaped flowers with a strong fragrance from June to August. Its lanceolate leaves are light green. In a sunny location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 60 cm and grows approx. 40 cm wide. The Perforate St John's wort is well tolerant of frost.
