The Viper's bugloss (Echium vulgare) is an upright perennial that forms blue, ray-shaped flowers from May to August. Its lanceolate leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny location with well-drained, calcareous soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 70 cm and is approx. 40 cm wide. The Viper's bugloss is well tolerant of frost.
