The Thread-leaf coreopsis (Coreopsis verticillata) is a bushy, runner-forming perennial that produces yellow, radial flowers from June to September. Its fingered leaves are dark green. In a sunny location with well-drained, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 60 cm and is approx. 30 cm wide. The Thread-leaf coreopsis is well tolerant of frost.

Coreopsis verticillata forms radial, yellow flowers from June.

Use

Tubs, cutting, group planting, rock garden, cottage garden, bee pasture

Water

Water regularly and allow the soil to dry out in the meantime.

Care

- If the plant is divided every 2-3 years and weak roots and shoots are removed, the reward is better growth and flowering vigour!
- If the plant is watered less frequently but thoroughly and penetratingly, the plant roots are encouraged to penetrate into deeper soil layers. This enables the plant to survive dry periods better.
