The Plantain lily 'Francee' (Hosta x fortunei) is an upright, bushy, broad perennial with decorative, lanceolate, whole-margined, dark green leaves with a white margin. It bears purple-coloured flowers from June to July. In a semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 50 cm and grows to a width of approx. 50 cm. The Plantain lily 'Francee' is well tolerant of frost.

Clump-forming, upright, bushy, broad.

Leaves

High leaf ornamental value. The deciduous leaves of Plantain lily 'Francee' are dark green, lanceolate, basal, with entire margins and white edges. Plantain lily 'Francee' turns bright yellow in autumn.

Flower

Hosta x fortunei 'Francee' forms lilac-coloured flowers from June.

Location

Preferred location in partial shade.
