The Lily-of-the-valley (Convallaria majalis) is an upright, runner-forming perennial that produces white, bell-shaped flowers with a pleasant fragrance from April to May. Its lanceolate leaves are dark green. In a semi-shady to shady location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 25 cm and is approx. 25 cm wide. The Lily-of-the-valley is well tolerant of frost.

The deciduous leaves of the Lily-of-the-valleys are dark green, lanceolate.

Flower

Convallaria majalis forms bell-shaped, white flowers from April. These exude a pleasant fragrance.

- If the plant is watered less frequently but thoroughly and penetratingly, the plant roots are encouraged to penetrate into deeper soil layers. This enables the plant to survive dry periods better.
