The Plantain lily 'Fire and Ice' (Hosta) is a bushy, broad perennial with decorative, white leaves with full margins and green edges. From June to July, it bears purple-coloured, funnel-shaped flowers arranged in panicles. In a semi-shady to shady location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually grows to a height of approx. 40 cm and is approx. 40 cm wide. The Plantain lily 'Fire and Ice' is well tolerant of frost.

Growth

Clump-forming, bushy, broad.

Leaves

High leaf ornamental value. The deciduous leaves of Plantain lily 'Fire and Ice' are white, basal, with entire margins and a green edge. Plantain lily 'Fire and Ice' turns bright yellow in autumn.

Flower

Hosta 'Fire and Ice' forms funnel-shaped, purple-coloured flowers arranged in panicles from June.
