With its light green leaf colouring, Umbrella bamboo 'Super Jumbo'(s) (Fargesia murielae) is a decorative design element in the garden. The special thing about it, apart from its upright form, is that it does not need a rhizome barrier! It prefers sunny to semi-shady locations with well-drained and slightly acidic soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy bamboo reaches a height of approx. 4 m and grows up to 3 m wide.

Umbrella bamboo 'Super Jumbo'(s) is an upright growing bamboo that can reach a height of 3.5 - 4 metres and a width of 2.5 - 3 metres. It usually grows 20 - 50 cm per year.
