The Elm 'Lobel' (Ulmus hollandica) is a medium-sized to large tree with a slender, columnar to narrowly oval growth habit and a relatively dense crown. It produces inconspicuous flowers that appear from March to April. These later develop into brown, flat winged fruits. In addition, the Elm 'Lobel'® bears ovate, glossy, dark green leaves that take on an appealing yellow autumn color. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, loose, nutrient-rich, moist soil, it typically reaches a height of approximately 15 - 25 m and grows to about 5 - 10 m wide.
