The Yellow azalea 'Satan' (Rhododendron luteum) produces a veritable sea of scarlet flowers from the end of May to mid-June. Its deciduous foliage is a medium green colour. In autumn, the foliage turns dark red. This upright, branching shrub usually reaches a height of 1.6 - 1.8 metres and a width of 1.2 to 1.4 metres. A semi-shady (to shady) location and humus-rich, lime-free soil create ideal conditions for healthy growth. The Yellow azalea 'Satan' is well tolerant of frost.
