The Narrow-leaved plantain lily (Hosta lancifolia) is a clump-forming, bushy perennial with decorative, glossy, lanceolate, whole-margined, medium-green leaves. It bears purple flowers in August. In a semi-shady to shady location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 30 cm and is approx. 40 cm wide. The Narrow-leaved plantain lily is well tolerant of frost.
