The Dwarf lady's mantle (Alchemilla erythropoda) is a broad, clump-forming perennial that produces yellow-green flowers arranged in umbels from June to July. Its rounded, lobed leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 15 cm and is approx. 25 cm wide. The Dwarf lady's mantle is well tolerant of frost.

The deciduous leaves of the Dwarf lady's mantle are medium green, roundish, lobed.

Flower

Alchemilla erythropoda forms yellow-green flowers arranged in corymbs from June.

Location

Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.

The Dwarf lady's mantle has good frost hardiness.

Soil

Standard container plant soil.
Normal soil.

Use

Tubs, group planting, rock garden, cottage garden

Water

Water regularly and allow the soil to dry out in the meantime.

Care

- If the plant is divided every 2-3 years and weak roots and shoots are removed, the reward is better growth and flowering vigour!
- If the plant is watered less frequently but thoroughly and penetratingly, the plant roots are encouraged to penetrate into deeper soil layers. This enables the plant to survive dry periods better.
