The Vial's primrose (Primula vialii) is a clump-forming perennial that produces two-coloured, funnel-shaped flowers arranged in spikes from June to July. Its lanceolate, wavy leaves are light green. In a semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, lime-free soil, it usually grows to a height of approx. 60 cm and is approx. 20 cm wide. The Vial's primrose is well tolerant of frost.

- The plant must be protected from winter moisture.
- The faded inflorescences should be cut back. This measure promotes new growth.
- In harsh locations, sun protection is only recommended in the event of frost.
