The Cowslip (Primula veris) is an upright, winter-green perennial that forms yellow flowers arranged in umbels with a light fragrance from April to May. Its spatulate, wavy leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 20 cm and grows to a width of approx. 30 cm. The Cowslip is well tolerant of frost.
