The Blackcurrant 'Silvergieters Schwarze' (Ribes nigrum) produces large, black berries. These are soft and sweet and sour in flavour. Well-drained, nutrient-rich soil and a sunny to semi-shady location create the ideal conditions for a high-yielding harvest from July. Its green-red flowers are a beautiful sight.

Growth

Blackcurrant 'Silvergieters Schwarze' is a small shrub. It usually reaches a height of 1.2 - 1.7 m and is approx. 0.8 - 1.3 m wide. It usually grows 20 - 40 cm per year.
