The Golden rod (Solidago caesia) is an upright, clump-forming perennial that produces yellow flowers arranged in panicles from September to October. Its lanceolate leaves are light green. In a sunny to semi-shady location, it usually grows to a height of approx. 80 cm and is approx. 50 cm wide. The Golden rod makes no particular demands on the soil. The Golden rod is well tolerant of frost.
