The Common peony 'Rubra Plena' (Paeonia officinalis) is an upright, clump-forming perennial that produces dark red, cupped flowers with a pleasant fragrance from May to June. Its fingered leaves are dark green. In a sunny location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 80 cm and is approx. 80 cm wide. The Common peony 'Rubra Plena' is well tolerant of frost.
