The Deam's coneflower (Rudbeckia fulgida var. deamii) is a bushy, upright perennial that forms golden yellow, basket-shaped flowers from August to September. Its hairy, egg-shaped leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1 m and is approx. 60 cm wide. The Deam's coneflower is well tolerant of frost.
