The Mondo grass 'Minor' (Ophiopogon japonicus) is a bushy, runner-forming, broad, winter-green perennial that forms white flowers arranged in clusters from July to August. The flowers develop into decorative, blue fruits in September. Its lanceolate leaves are dark green. In a semi-shady to shady location with humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 10 cm and grows to a width of approx. 20 cm. The Mondo grass 'Minor' is well tolerated by frost in sheltered locations.

Care

- If the plant is divided every 2-3 years and weak roots and shoots are removed, the reward is better growth and flowering vigour!
- If the plant is watered less frequently but thoroughly and penetratingly, the roots are encouraged to penetrate deeper into the soil. This helps the plant to survive periods of drought.
