Nerium oleander

Shrub-like. It usually grows 20 - 40 cm per year.

The evergreen leaves of the Oleanders are dark green, lanceolate.

Nerium oleander forms pink, white and yellow flowers from June.

Preferred location in a sunny, sheltered position.

Frost-free overwintering at 5 to 10°C is required.

Standard container plant soil.
Normal soil.

Plant or parts of the plant are poisonous.

Water regularly and allow the soil to dry out in the meantime.

- Excess water must be able to drain away easily and waterlogging should be avoided at all costs.
- Regular watering in summer is particularly important. Morning or evening is the best time for this. Watering should also be done slowly and, if possible, not over flowers and leaves.
- As soon as temperatures no longer fall below 5°C, even at night, this plant can be taken outside. A shower with lukewarm water will remove dust and revitalise your favourite. A semi-shady spot out of direct sunlight is best to prevent leaf damage. If necessary, the plant can also be repotted outdoors in spring, which saves cleaning work indoors.
