The Devil's paintbrush (Hieracium aurantiacum) is a rosette-like, winter-green perennial that forms orange-red, capitate flowers from June to July. Its lanceolate leaves are medium green. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 30 cm and is approx. 15 cm wide. The Devil's paintbrush is well tolerant of frost.
