The Silver dollar maidenhair fern (Adiantum pedatum) is a decorative design element in the garden with its feathery, light green leaf fronds. The black leaf stalks are an interesting detail. It feels most at home in a semi-shady location with soil that is as well-drained and lime-free as possible. In favourable conditions, this hardy fern reaches a height of approx. 50 cm and grows up to 40 cm wide.
