The White snakeroot (Eupatorium rugosum) is an upright perennial that forms white flowers arranged in umbels from August to September. Its lanceolate leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1 m and grows to a width of approx. 80 cm. The White snakeroot is well tolerant of frost.

- If the plant is watered less frequently but thoroughly and penetratingly, the roots are encouraged to penetrate deeper into the soil. This helps the plant to survive periods of drought.
